Post by: eileenmcnaught on Wednesday 04 December 13 16:46 GMT (UK)
 :)Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help me with my search to find out why  William Wright police officer in Penninghame the 1871 census, was a van man in Glasgow in 1881?  He married Elizabeth Neil from Knock and Maize in 1857, and was a farm labourer, somewhere along the line he became a police officer, I can find no mention of them in the 1861 census. IŽd love to find out why he changed and why the move to Glasgow.

Thank you,

Eileen

Hello Monica,

Thank you for the info, and your time.   I usually find most of what I need on Scotlands People.   I did try Family Search, but I obviously made a mistake somewhere.

Thanks again,
Regards,   Eileen
