Title: Prosser's from Cradley
Post by: amielou86 on Saturday 04 January 14 20:09 GMT (UK)
Evening guys,

I have posted before regarding the family i'm looking for but maybe not on this page.

My great-great grandfather was born William Prosser in 1878 in Cradley to William Prosser Snr and Selina Bowkett.  He was joined by younger sister Mary in 1879 and brother Charles in 1881 (all in Cradley).

I have the 1881 census for the family but I lose them completely after that!  I have quite a bit of research on Selina's family, the Bowketts but it's the Prosser's I'm really interested in.  I've managed to find William Jnr once again in 1911 after he's married and has children and I have his death certificate from 1942.  But it's the intervening years and the history of the Prossers i'm really looking for help with.

Anyone know anything or any good sources would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hiya Amielou - if you could just make a note please
Constance Prosser is in my familytree in Llandinabo as the mother of John Merrick b 1689 in Llandinabo-father John Merrick from Llandinabo
I know it is a lot earlier than your research - but I am from Liverpool and not educated about Herefordshire,
is Cradley far from Llandinabo ??...
cheers

Hi Both,

Thanks Mazi, I found her death record, am applying for the cert today as thought 33 was relatively young age to die, even then!

Garsonite, wow, you've gone back really far!!  The two places are not all that far considering migration.  I'll keep a note on her name in case i see her come up! Any tips on how to get passed 1841 census as thats where all my lines seem to stop as not sure what to look for after that.

Thanks

Amie
