Title: Reverend James Anderson born Cromarty

 James Anderson was born 27 Jul 1797 and baptised 28 Jul 1797 in Cromarty R & C. His parents

 were James Anderson and Mary Dunbar in Cromarty. When hunting around R & C records I came

 across a Gravestone erected by Reverend James Anderson for his mother Mary Dunbar who died

 1821. That's the background. The question is how do I find out about Reverend James Anderson?

 I have googled to no avail, so I'm wondering if there may be a list of Church of Scotland Ministers

perhaps with some biographical detail. He paid  for his mother's stone but he could be, and

probably was, elsewhere. The stone is in the East Church Graveyard Cromarty.

There is sure to be something about him in one of the volumes of the Fasti Ecclesiae Scoticanae

There are various online sources - if you Google the title you will be able to select which volume you need to read.
