Advice need please. In my family tree I have George Robertson b 1756 in Fife. He married on the 20th December 1793 at Inverkeithing, Fife a Elizabeth Malcom. They had six children. In the 1841 census George resided in Dunfermline, Fife.
Where can find more information on George Robertson such as parents please and also on Elizabeth Malcom?

Thank you, for that information. I was not aware. I do not have the official documention, I am gathering information from in the main Ancestry which I know people sometimes unintentially enter incorrect information based on information gathered by others. It appears myself included.
I will check again and if anyone can please advice me where I can find records pre the date above of George Robertson or his wife that would be most helpful, thank you.

the marriage of George &mary Malcolm was in leslie fife 25 march 1856.
and the marriage of George and mary mills was on 20 dec 1793 at inverkeithing fife

Do I gather from this that George was twice married or are we talking about two different George Robertsons?

well it was about 3 weeks ago 23 jan so I think it was the same person unless I look it back up I can't be sure! i'll see if I can find it again

Thank you, I do recall that there have been variations on Ancestry with peoples own family, some Mill and some Malcolm. Therefore it would be good to have clarification if possible please.
