I've just discovered a photo of a couple who married in October 1931 at the above place. Can anyone tell me what sort of institute it was & would it have been an unusual choice of wedding venue?

The Strathearn Institute is now the Caledonian bar with flats above, address is 35 James Square

there is a listing on canmore for the institute.
