Hi,
I'm trying to find out more about the Ancestors (or Parents) of Richard Ridge born Shelve or Middleton, Shropshire in about 1802. Married to Sarah, then Margaret.
I think his Father may have been born in Hyssington, Montgomeryshire in around 1781, but may have been called Redge not Ridge. I can't seem to find out anything about Francis, or even if I have the right father for Richard. Any help gratefully received. Thanks Jan

I've looked through my own paper Montgomeryshire records and there is no baptism for 1763 showing. There is an entry for 26 Oct 1783 but that is for a daughter.
Note that the 1851 might be the Francis b. 1793. The original image has him as a Widower (Widr) not a Widow. In 1841, this family are also at Criggion (HO107/1433/1/5/5). The 1841 Francis is 60 and a leadminer , so not the same family but possibly related.

Unlikely to be the Criggion one, who was born circa 1793 as the Shelve Richard was born 1802:
