Title: Photograph of old Amlwch
Post by: johnalwynjones on Friday 14 February 14 23:09 GMT (UK)
I suspect this house in the upper photo is Brynteg, Amlwch taken about he turn of the last century, abt 1900.
Can anyone confirm if that's the case and whether it's still there.
Many thanks

Thanks for that. I've tried Google maps but I suspect the house is not on a highlighted road. I was hoping that someone with local knowledge might recognize it.

If you go to google maps, follow the B5111 out of Amlwch , opposite the cemetery the house looks very similar, on an old online map the house is called Brynteg.

A friend from Amlwch has told me of previous inhabitants of house were
Robert Williams a train driver then a lady whose name he doesn't remember but says the house was called Hollyrood at one time.
