I am trying to trace a my mother's cousin, Thomas McMorran, who left Larne in Northern Ireland and went to live in Glasgow in the 1940s/1950s. He was married to a woman from Pakistan, named Treasure. I believe they had three children who may possibly still be there and with their own children. If anyone knows how I can find out about Thomas I would be grateful.

You haven't included any details of his birthyear to help narrow any search
The free index on Scotlands People has 13 deaths for his name between 1940-1970. If you know his mothers maiden name you can narrow your search
Death certs to 1962 can be downloaded online but you would have to purchase a copy if his death was after that year
SP is a pay per view site via purchase of credits

If you know his mothers maiden name you can narrow your search
The index will only allow you to search for deaths using mother's maiden name from 1974 onwards.
1974-2011
Mothers maiden surname is present in the index for these years.
As a security measure, wildcards are not allowed - if you enter a mothers maiden surname, it must be an exact match for the information in the database or the record will not be returned.
If you search without entering the mothers maiden surname, all records returned will show Not Permissible in the Mothers Maiden Surname column, although the information will be visible on any extract ordered (if known by the informant).
