Seeking information re Paul H Krause Samoa. Married Clementine Godinet II Samoa. Paul Krause was a Trader in Samoa.

Paul presumably was a German in a German Colony. Immediately after the outbreak of World War One New Zealand dispatched an expeditionary force to successfully seize and occupy German Samoa.

Barry, many thanks for the speedy reply. Yes I have seen that connection on Geni, tried to connect but as with all my dead ends on Paul H Krause no reply. There are also somewhat distant connections on Ancestry which I have sent queries to, but again no-one is responding. Paul H Krause supposedly died in rather unfortunate circumstances in New Britian in 1912, but I have no concrete evidence of this and of course as this is a rather sensitive topic I hesitate to commit it to the research I am doing.

Godinet is represented on familysearch.org but not Krause.
Baptisms and burials only.
Go to familysearch.org and type in last name - Godinet and country - Samoa. Not necessarily the same part of Samoa that you are looking for.

I am a descendant of Paul Heinrick Krause, My GF was Augustine Krause, My mother was Emma Krause. I am not familiar with my family history, but know that when Paul Heinrick Krauses' wife died (Clementine Godinet of samoa) he travelled to Tonga where he had another son ( Oswald Krause is the 1/2 brother of Augustine Krause). I have recently met some of Oswald Krauses family, in fact my daughter met and become best friends with one of his great grand daughters. Maybe they know what happen to Paul Heinrick

Thank you for your reply. Very interesting family. One storey is that Paul H went back to Germany, but I cannot find any evidence of this. PH seems to be a bit of a mystery, but I am sure somewhere out there someone has the answer. Paul H Krause married an Emma Pepper in Sydney, they had two children, Oswald Bertie and Eva, cannot find any information on Eva, although I was told that Eva went back to Germany, maybe with her father. When Emma died Paul H married Clementine Godinet, and they had children. August Krause (who is 1/2 brother to Oswald) m Makelita Mataia'a and they had a daughter Emma, whom I presume is your Mother, named after PH's first wife. I did manage to contact a member of Oswald's family, but he could not give me any information.

Paul H Krause and Clementine Godinet only had two children at the time when PHK was in Samoa . Augustine and her sister Elizaberth(Betty) but unfortunately Elizaberth passed away at a young age.
After Clementine passed away PHK moved somewhere??
Augustine was look after by Joseph and Telesia Godinet .But one day PHK sister came to Samoa to take Augustine back with her (Germany)but Augustine didn't want to go with her so he stay behind.
