Title: Janet (Jenny) CHAMBERS or BRODIE
Post by: Clare Fowler on Wednesday 22 June 05 12:51 BST (UK)
Hi there,

I am wondering how to trace any relations of my ggrandmother's twin sister Janet (Jenny) Brodie nee Chambers.  She emigrated to Canada in the 1960s (would have been in her 50s by this time), but I don't know where.  I believe that she had at least 2 sons, one of whom travelled to Canada before her.

Does anyone have any ideas how I go about tracing this family, given that I have so little to work on?  ???

Cheers,
Clare

Hi Clare,

Any ideas what her husband's name was or her two sons?

Hi there,

Her husband was called Alexander Brodie, but I don't think he emigrated with Jenny.  I think she was widowed when she momved.  I also believe that one of the sons was also called Alexander.

The only information I have for them is Jenny's date of birth (12/07/1905) and the date of her marriage (30/12/1929).  I just don't know where to start.

Cheers,
Clare
