Title: Coyle into Cowel?

My 2x Great Grandmother's name was Barbara Coyle and she was born circa. 1841 to Peter and Mary. She, her parents and siblings all moved to Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northumberland, England c. 1849 when the potato famine hit.

All of her siblings were born in Ireland, apart from the youngest two who were born in Newcastle. The youngest child was baptised at Newcastle in 1853, and his mother's maiden name is shown to be McGOWAN.

Barbara's and her siblings order of births are as follows:

John circa. 1835
Martin circa. 1837
Barbara circa. 1841
Mary circa. 1842
Peter circa. 1845
Michael circa. 1849 (Newcastle)
James circa. 1853 (Newcastle. Found baptism. Can't find registrations for either of the last two.)

Now, Ancestry have recently uploaded Irish Catholic records so thought I'd try my luck and see if I could find anything. Straight away I found 3 baptisms that looked quite good, although there are some discrepancies.

John Cowel (Index says Conel)
baptised: 7th August 1833, Kilglass
Parents: Peter Cowel and Mary Gavan

Martin Cowel
baptised: 12 April 1835, Kilglass
Parents: Peter Cowel and Mary Gavan

Barbara Cowel
baptised: 17th March 1837, Kilglass
Parents: Peter Cowel and Mary Gawane

So, I know the three eldest children I have for Peter and Mary COYLE were John, Martin and Barbara, so is it a coincidence that I have found 3 children, in that order born to Peter and Mary COWEL? The years are all out for them, but still quite relevant. Also Mary's maiden name is very similar to the one I know is my Mary - literally just without the 'Mc'. I'm sure an Englishman's take on an Irish accent could possibly have changed the spelling of the surname, but what do people think? Is there anything else to be found on this family to help prove or disprove them?

Unfortunately, Barbara died before the 1911 census in England, so I have no birthplace for her at all, apart from the usual 'Ireland'. However, from research I have done in the past, I know a lot of Irish immigrants who settled in Newcastle and the surrounding areas came from Co. Sligo.
