Hi Folks,
Hoping for a connection with descendants of James Jeffrey Hogg 1873 - 1944 b Gateshead & Mary Irving b 1875 Newcastle-upon-Tyne dau of George Irving & Margaret Young.
Children (all born Durham)
1. William Metcalfe Simpson Hogg (1897) = Lillian Cara Ritson
2. James Jeffrey (1900)
3. Irving (1903) = Ethel Maloney (Emigrated to Michigan, USA in 1948)
Irving & Ethel had 1 daughter (1825) South Shields & 1 son (1929) Stockton
Their son travelled with them to USA but what happened to their daughter?
Any advance most welcome.

Hi Simon & welcome to Rootschat!
Was Irving b 1929 your g/father?
I will check my tree to see what the connection is (hoping I have it) as I lost my up-to-date tree although it's retrievable (at some point) i.e. I only have an old back-up!

Hi Annie, James Jeffrey was my paternal grandfather. From the 1911 census, I now know that Irving is spelt like that. I also recall I visited their house in Cemetry Road in Gateshead.
