Post by: gwenjus on Friday 04 April 14 10:38 BST (UK)
I have in my tree Alexander Crerar (among other Crerars), I cannot decipher the spelling of the birth place in   1780, it reads Blarbagon? Parish of Killen. Perth.
Can anyone help me sort this out please?

Hi,
BLARLIARAGAN  "The moor of the grey meadows"
"In 1790 a lint mill was erected there, near to the meal mill on Morenish Burn".
This quote appears in "In Famed Breadalbane" by the Reverend William A Gillies.
First published in 1938.
This is the only mention in the book.
Hope this is of some help.
Bob.

Thankyou Lochee and Bleckie, much appreciated, being from Aus it's difficult to learn about these places. Many "Cheers"  Gwen
