I'm puzzled as to who and when Joseph Jeffries given in Census entries as born in Northwood Shropshire in c 1844 married?
In 1871 there is a Lydia "Jeffreys" given as born in Overton Flintshire in c 1841 with her two daughters living in Ellesmere Shropshire.
RG10/2788/49/40.
In 1881 Joseph and Lydia Jeffries are living in Derby Derbyshire.
RG11/3397/13/20.
In 1891 Joseph and Lydia are living in Leicestershire.
RG12/2538/58/1.
Now I have a fair idea that the Lydia is my relative Lydia Woodhall born in 1840 in Overton but the marriage entries don't correspond for the year 1868 in what should be the Ellesmere District of Shropshire.
Help please!

Sorry - am I missing something? The freebmd entry shows Ellesmere for both. Joseph is Jeffreys
Lydia's entry is in italics which means the transcriber was uncertain of the reference. If you check the full GRO entry you will find they match

Thanks Carole,it was just that the two lists of names given on Ancestry for each name didn't match.Though I did think it was an obvious match the entries confused me!

I know you posted this a long time ago but if you look on google at Northwood Shropshire you will see the Jeffried name come up. Think they have been a part of Northwood along time as my cousin was born in 1944 as he remembers then when he was little.

Sorry should have said you need to be on Findmypast as well because different information seems to be on the both sites so i use them both.

Many thanks Debi,it appears that I did eventually find the marriage as I have included it at Ellesmere in 1868 in my Tree.Of course as so many of my relatives are from the area I have become a would-be expert on the area.
