Hello
I have recently lost my mother and my father died 7 years ago. I just feel it would be nice if anyone (even in the world!) have any photos of these to streets from long ago.
Kind Regards
Grant

Many thanks. Iam sure that shop to the left was owned by the Thrupps but I need to visit and make sure.
Cheers

Grant, on the junction of Park St and John St was "Bob Minion" motor cycles and on the opposite side of the junction was the public house "The Lamb Inn", further down the street opposite New St was the "New Inn" and on the junction of Siddals Road and John St was the "Magnet" public house. if you can get photo`s of these premises you might also get views of the street . Bob Minion is still a going concern on London Road so they may have some photo`s of John St . hope this helps ..............Edmund

Thanks for your advice. In a Derby Book about old and gone pubs by Maxell Craven on John Street was a lovely named pub called 'The Ring Of Hearts' you don't get names like that anymore.
Thanks
