I'm struggling to find a family in the census.
Mary Jane Howel bap. 1850 Jan, Chapel Hill, Tintern, Monmouthshire
Her father: David Howel, a publicna in 1850
Her mother: Eliza Howel
I'm struggling to find this family in the census; can anyone help me?
NB: I believe that Mary Jane Howel married circa 1872; anything later and he surname was Parker.
Thanks in advance,
Hywel

In 1861 they're at Howells/Howell Cottage in Chapel Hill. David, a plasterer, and Eliza, and five children:
Eliza 15
Annie
13
Mary Jane 11
Edward 9
Tom 1

Yes, I see that family too. Matches in 1861 with children Eliza 5, Ann 3 and Mary Jane 1. There's also a 7yo son called Henry.

In 1861 David's POB is Trellecks Grange, and he is a Plasterer.

In 1871 I think they are at the same address. David is still a Plasterer. They have an additional son Sidney aged 9, and daur Louisa R aged 8.

Same in 1881, minus all but two children. David is still a Plasterer. :)

Eliza is a widow by 1891, living in what looks like the same place, she has an indecipherable occupation.

Eliza is still around in 1901 aged 80, bless her, and is a Refreshment House Keeper. living Howell's Cottage.

Sadly, I think she is gone by 1911 ...

Welsh Newspapers Online has a staff wanted ad for the establishment at Howell's Cottage, Tintern from 1894

Interestingly it says "apply to Jones.."

Think this is an inetresting 1871 census entry in Oxford St, London
William Sissen 34 - coffee house keeper
Caroline Sissen 36
Emma Sissen 3
Charles Goodger 31
John Tine Ram 24
Joseph G Brittle 24
Sidney Parker 40 <<< porter, b Sutton, Surrey, unmarried
William Fend 30
Mary J Howells 21 <<< servant, b Tintern Abbey, unmarried
Edwin Cowher 36
RG10, 92, 15, 22
Now on the image Sidney's age is 40 and birthplace Sutton, Surrey. The latter could be an assumption for Sutton (Veny), Wilts but the age? still an interesting coincidence, given Albert's place of birth on the 1881 census

Think it must be them - that census is in the St George's Hanover Sq district
Marriages Q4 1871
St George Hanover Square, Vol 1a, p480
Mary Jane Howells <<<
Sarah Lambourne
Sidney Parker <<<
Frederick Henry Williams

Some of you may find this rewarding. I have a photo of Louisa Harriett Parker, she was born in October 1887 to Mary Jane and Sidney. This was taken on her wedding day in April 1909. She is my great grandmother.
