Please can any one tell me were the chapel dense were on my great greatgrand mothers birth certificate she was born in 1842 great Yarmouth thank you Gail

Hi thanks her name was lavinia Sarah Hawkins on her birth certificate it says she was born on the chapel dense 1842.

Might it have been the name of a ship as it was in the Yarmouth R.D.
Mar Qtr 1842.

Well I am having no luck finding her birth,nor her in any of the censuses,who were her parents?
Scrap that- I have found her but not spelt the way we were thinking!

I found her in a census earlier, mother was Phebe. Think it was 1851. Address didnt help, it was just "row 60", tried to work back to enumerators to page to see what it was all about, but had to go before I made any progress.

Hi Gail,
It was probably the Chapel Denes.
Great Yarmouth has an area called "The Denes" which originally stood outside the old walls.
