Hi All,
I wonder if anyone can lookup a marriage for Patrick Kerrigan to a Bridget McGowan in Cliffony Sligo 1852. I believe this could be my 2nd Great Grandparents. I hope it will help me find out where my family came from as I think Patrick may have not stayed in Cliffony and I do not know where lived and died. My great Grandfather Charles and his brother Patrick came to Glasgow Scotland around 1880 give or take as they both married a settled by 1885. If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

P.s Name change around 1901 do not know why only found this out after starting my family tree search.

Hi Robert,
Not sure if there is any connection here but i have a great grandaunt called Bridget McGowan from Sligo. Her parents i think were called Michael McGowan and Ann Kilcoyne. She had John, Michael and Maria as brothers and sister.
Do you think there is a connection ?

I cannot be sure as I have no information on Bridget only that she married Patrick in Cliffony Ahamlish Sligo St Molasis RC Church Feb 1852. I understanding that a marriage took place in the Brides parish my Briget must have come from Ahamish Sligo I do not even know where they lived after there marriage only that they had at least 3 sons 2 of which came to Glasgow Charles and Patrick the first born Denis I do not know where he went only know he was christened in the same church in 1853. Charles is my great grandfather but anyone who knew where they came from is dead so I can only hope some other person knows and reads these messages

I've got Gilmartin/McGowans/Mcgloins in my tree from Grellagh, Ahamlish. So may have a connection somewhere!

If you look at Baptisms you get her father's name and mother's maiden name McMorrow, then look for siblings plus parent's marriage
