hi everybody.. i am looking to see if anybody can help me please or even link up with me. somebody found my great great grandfather in the 1901 census of Ireland with his wife living at no 1 Ballygibbon Blarney Cork with some of the children. i was also told Patrick married Abina Corkerry in 1869 in cork. nothing could be found for 1911 census. thankyou

Did the family stay in Ireland or emigrate?

oh ok sorry i am new here Albina died in 1919 in cork ireland. i know that one of the sons Jeremiah Joseph O'shea went to england and was married in marylebone in 1887. as for the others i have no idea

Do you have the death certificate for Abina?

Ages were quite flexible but the 1919 one seems just too young. You could check with the person who gave you the information.

I was only looking for O'Shea/Shea. Presumably, it is predominantly a Cork first name?

Sorry 683 Abina's just tried again and got 772. Think I had Cork in the birthplace first time. so yes very Cork.

Hi Hewood...... i have stuff on jeremiah.. marriage the children and census record. it was more his parent's Patrick and Abina i was wonderng about. i only know that Jeremiah went to london.. i have no idea if anyone else left cork

Shows Bridget O Shea 30 yrs and Nellie 26 yrs emigrating in 1920. If this were Bridget and Ellie, both ages are 6 yrs out.
The next of kin is cousin Patrick O' Connor of Shamrock Terrace Blarney and they are going to brother in law Mr J Stanmore in Philadelphia :-\

We know they moved as the place they were living in 1901 is also there in 1911, do we know if parts of 1911 are missing for Cork as there are parts missing for other parts of the country.
I tried so many different searches I'm confusing myself at this stage, but nothing even looking possible.

Have you got their record?who did they go to?
Patrick O' Connor is in Ballygibbon in 1901 :-\

I should of noticed that.
She is still married so where is Patrick?

The O is missing but he's a shoemaker, can read but not write is married, age close.

Hi I’ve also been looking for my family roots my great grandparents were also Patrick O’Shea & Albina o’shea My grandmother was Bridget O’Shea who married my grandfather John O’Donoghue.
