Title: Islay Rental List(s) 1541

Can someone tell me where I can access this?  I'm interested in a reference to the McPherson name that is included but I need to know where, neighbours, and the "landlord".  It has been used by others but I can't find any online reference to where it is available.

If the reference on http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~steve/islay/rawdata/islayfamilies.htm is correct (look for note 5), then the rental is available in The Exchequer Rolls of Scotland, vol. 17, Edinburgh, 1897, 633-41.

Vol 17 (and other volumes) are certainly in the National Library of Scotland - http://discover.nls.uk/default.ashx?q=&search-box-submit=go&searchtype=1&cx=004988112283334510717%3Alqhse3e39qi&ie=UTF-8  and probably other major libraries

As they are stored offsite an advance order is needed
