Hi
Can anyone help me find this family, here are my 3 x Gt Grandparents Hugh Pierce born 1830 aged 22 and Margaret Hill born 1831 aged 21 married 6 Jun 1852 Shankill, Arm, Hugh's father Hugh Pierce Margaret's father William Hill and I know Margaret had a sibling Elizabeth living with them in Huddersfield in 1881 but I can't find anything about their family apart from these weddings below
William Mccoy born 1829 aged 23 and Sarah Hill born 1826 aged 26 married 25 Dec 1852 Shankill, Arm, William's father William Mccoy Sarah's father William Hill
William Hill and Margaret Kennedy married 23 March 1854 Shankhill, Ant, William's father William Hill Margaret's father''s James Kennedy,William died 1886 Antrim, Ireland aged 53 born c1833
It has to be more than a coincidence that Margaret, Elizabeth, Sarah and William are all born in the 1820s/30s to William Hill and apart from Elizabeth who never married they all married within a few years of each other in Shankhill,
any help on this family or Hugh Pierce's family would be very much appreciated, thanks
Julie

The actual marriage certificates will list place of marriage, residence of bride and groom at time of marriage as well as names of 2 witnesses. Am I correct in thinking that you've not seen the records?
Marriage extract for Margaret Hill & Hugh Pierce- Shankill, Armagh (GRONI- Craigavon district)
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FGFM-113
Marriage extract for Sarah Hill & William Mccoy- Shankill, Armagh (GRONI- Craigavon district)
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FGFM-388
Marriage extract for William Hill & Margaret Kennedy- Shankill, Antrim (GRONI- Belfast district)
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FG6V-VV8
So, whilst Margaret Hill & Sarah Hill may or may not be sisters or even related, William Hill's marriage took place in Shankill, Belfast not Armagh.

Hi,
Both of the Hill girls got married in Lurgan Church of Ireland, Shankill Parish Co. Armagh. William Hill was married in Rosemary St. Second Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church, Shankill Parish Belfast.

Hi
Many thanks for your replies, I'm not very good on Irish geography unfortunately, and with there being limited information available ie census/bmds for early 1800s Ireland it is confusing and frustrating at times to place where families originated, and just who is part of a family and who isn't.
Thank you for all your help it is much appreciated
Regards
Julie
