Hello , I'm seeking some assistance regarding my great grandmother Mary Ann Lavens 1869 -1940 I cannot find any information on her parents or siblings going through the normal searches .. She was born in Dumfries 1869 & married a Robert McWilliams ...any assistance would be very much appreciated , kind regards Edward :) :)

A tree on Ancestry has them both dead in 1940 and a marriage for the daughter Margaret confirming the mother is Mary Ann Lavens

John lavens born Ireland aged 34 occupation fireman in iron foundry Agnes 32 John 12. Margaret 10, Agnes 6, Mary 1 this Mary could be short for Bridget Mary that was born to the same couple or else this Mary died

In answer to your question do I have a copy of Robert McWilliam & Mary Ann Lavens marriage certificate not yet , I'm working from scraps of paper with dates, obscure names, & vague information I have received from various relatives a copy of their marriage certificate would be great.. once again thank you very much much appreciated .. kind regards Edward :) :)

Hi Edward sorry I did not realise that was your tree on Ancestry I was looking at so if there is any other look ups you can let me know and I will see what I can find

hi rosie17 my apology for taking so long to reply, I only noticed this last message today I was having trouble with Ancestry when it crashed & for a horrible moment I thought I had lost some data but all seems to be ok now once again thank you for your assistance.. kind regards Edward... :) :)
