Hello Stoop
It looks as if you have done a fair amount of research yourself

You have a ? against the name of John for his birth year, on 1881 he is shown as 11 months, so we assume he was born 1880, on 1891 he is 10, so circa 1880 would be about correct

Also on various census there are other KERR families living close to James and his family,  also born in Scotland

We can't show 1911 but on 1901 the children have flown the nest

1871 Census has him living at Pillory St, Nantwich with his brother William,19 and sister Jane, 21, both born Scotland.

It has James year of birth as being 1845, Scotland.

If you have access to Ancestry, Ewen's Electrical Engineer's membership forms are available. I don't have the right subscription to access them for you.

Thanks Louisa Maud, it could be that some Kerr families are related to each other, it would make sense   to join up particularly if they were in the same line of business like drapery. Thanks again stoop.

Hello Heather Julie, more useful information I did not have any information regarding Ewan and his marriage and being an electrical engineer apprentice. I have since found the precise birth dates of the children and the deathof Jane in 1876 at Nantwich. Thanks again stoop.
