Looking for any information on Robert Ellis and his wife Elizabeth nee Owen. Robert was a schoolmaster living at Bryngogan penmachno ( site of a shop c1900 owned by a Robert Thomas). They had at least two sons Lewis T Roberts born c1820 died Racine 1903 and William Roberts who died Taifrest Ffestiniog 1890 aged 89. any information on their BMD and any other children much appreciated

Lewis T Roberts obituary in Herad Cymraeg 24 Nov 1903 says his fathers name was Robert Ellis and schoolmaster and Elizabeth Owen. Patronymic?

Where did you get Roberts birthplace as Penmacno from as I can't see a matching 1851 entry

Drych 1 Feb 1900 page 6 says on 80 birthday says Lewis T Roberts born Bryngogan, Penmachno.went to work in a quarry 11 age bit of a surprise if father schoolmaster and was in US by 1845.
Drych 29 May 1890 page 4 reports death of William Roberts Taifrest 9 April aged 89, brother Of Lewis T Roberts, an official of Rhiwbryfdir quarry.
Wondered if anyone could solve the mystery of his parents and if he had anymore siblings

Sorry.. but where is the documentation that says Robert Ellis was born in Penmancho?
Whilst his sons may have been born there -there does not appear to be any actual proof that Robert was.
Unfortunately, it's not an uncommon name in both England & Wales and at the moment there is no birthyear for him or any census entry so we have no way of finding his ancestry
