I have posted PLEASE HELP for a photo restoration, so am trying again after reading the help page.
This is the only photo we have of my husband and his parents taken 1939. Unfortunately my husbands father was killed 1940.
Here goes again,

Just so you can see it:

Just to get you started:
Can you rescan it as a jpeg?

Hi japeflakes
Thank you for your reply. I have tried, and tried but how do I scan jpeg?

What is your scanner set up
The scanning bit is the same: It should be an option when you save

Hi japeflakes
As you are aware, I'm not very good at this sort of thing.
Someone on RC has very kindly offered to scan this for me in jpeg, so hopefully it will now be fine.
This is something that I must practice and sort things out.
Thanks and best wishes

No problem: As you can see I have put it on as a jpeg for you so others can see it....

This is badly compressed probably by trying to get under the limit to post.
Can you rescan at 300 dpi (with the lid closed), crop out the scanner bed and resize without compressing . There are tutorial at the top but shout if you need help
