Can anyone help me with the reading of this street name in Chatham, Kent from a death cert in 1916, please?

Fort Pitt Street
It's still there if you have access to something like google maps

I just looked at google street view and it may have been redeveloped in quite recent times

Thank you, Dawnsh. I'm never good at these things when trying to read handwriting on certs. I was looking for Fast Pelt Street!!

The cert is for the husband of a grt aunt. He was 28 when he died of tb and was a flower hawker, dont understand at mo why he died there when he lived and worked in shoreditch with the rest of my relatives.

Yes, Chatham has undergone some "redevelopment" in recent years! Fort Pitt itself is now a girls school, and was originally a Fort to protect the dockyard.

Whilst Fort Pitt St exists it is totally rebuilt, runs from Albany Rd
