Trying to find his parents and siblings his father I believe was ferguson mason as that's what it looks like on married entry on the copy I have from sp he was john mason was married to helen scot but I don't have any info on his mother or siblings can anyone help ?

This looks very much like your man ie,

John Mason, Born 28/Feb/1803. Penicuik, Midlothian, Christened, 14/March/1803. to parents Ferguson Mason, and Elizabeth Martin, he had siblings as,

Thomas Mason, Born 23/March/1805, Christened, 08/April/1805. Penicuik, Midlothian,
Susanah Mason, Born 31/March/1801, Christened, 26/April/1801. Penicuik, Midlothian,
Elizabeth Mason, Born 10/August/1797, Christened, 20/August/1797. Penicuik, Midlothian,
Robert Mason, Born 21/May/1799, Christened, 12/June/1799. Penicuik, Midlothian.

I think there may be more of this family with births not registered, the reason his brother Robert Mason, was a Paper Maker, same job as John Mason, and there is a Ferguson Mason, in that area Midlothian.
