Looking for details of Thomas Armstrong, born at Crookholm Farm, Dumfriesshire in 1758

He later moved to Cumbria and married Margaret Little on 9th July 1781 at Kirkandrews-on-Esk, Cumberland & had a son John, born in 1782.

Looking for details on Thomas' birth date & who his parents were

First of all, births back in 1758, if registered, gave very little information.

Have looked on Scotlands People for Thomas ARMSTRONG born 1758. The only ones I could find were:

Thomas ARMSTRONG  b. 4 September 1757  -   Canonbie - Father - John ARMSTRONG
Thomas ARMSTRONG  b. 27 April 1759  -  Westerkirk  - Father John ARMSTRONG

Don't know where Crookholm Farm, Dumfriesshire is. Perhaps another Rootschatter can help.

Hope the information is helpful. As I said, they were the only 2 Thomas ARMSTONG births between 1757 and 1759, both with John as their father. Alexander named his first son John.
