Hello. welcome to Rootschat :)
Have you any more details which may help researchers to pin down when Thomas was born?
ie Do you know how old Thomas was when he died?
Do you know what years his sons John David and Henry were born/what age they were when they died(this may help find a possible marriage for Thomas)?

all from familysearch, which you may have already
david Jenkins buried 17 march 1840 llanfihangel ar arth birth abt 1773
john Jenkins in 1841 census llanf. ar arth birth 1766 but ages are rounded down on this census
henry Jenkins born abt 1748 lenegwyn buried at llanf. ar arth 12 may 1820
familysearc give no more details but images are available on findmy past, henrys birth may give both parents if you think these are yours

sorry lenegwyn was a major typo. should be llanegwad. familysearch has a baptism there for a henry Jenkins, may 1749 no more details given but the image is available on findmypast
pencarreg is a village about 8miles north of llanfihangel-ar-arth.
this is not going to be easy, there does not seem to be much available before 1800 for this area

Many thanks for your reply.
We are getting along steadily with the help of your man called osprey.
We now believe that Thomasses farther was John Jenkin who made a will 1n 1720 which we are going to obtain a copy of from NLW.We feel that Thomas was probably born between 1700 and 1710. Any confirmation anywhere...
We next want to find who Thomas wife was and when did they marry. We kow they had 3 sons John David and Henry.2 daughters Elizabeth and Sarah .
ANY help
