Angus MacDonald - Detective of Police between 1877 & 1900 in Greenock, does anyone know if or where these service records may be found.

The Mitchell Library in Glasgow has some records for Renfrew & Bute and the County and Burgh forces which formed Strathclyde in 1975

Hi Falkyrn,
thank you for the reply, I'll have a look, they may not have them online though.

Sorry, I should have added that the records are only available at the Library. They do respond to email but given the limited number of staff and the number of enquiries they recieve it can take a while to get an answer.

An alternative is to post a look up request here on Rootschat as someone may be going there soon.
