Hello,
I am seeking details about Harold Wanless (b 1905 NSW?).
Harold was the s/o Thomas & Nellie G (nee Wilson) Wanless who married in 1894 in Sydney. There were 5 children that I am aware of. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have a few Wanless names in my line starting with a Mary Wan(d)less born 1800. I had really not paid to much attention to the name but what surprised me that the vast majority of people with the name came from just north of the River Tyne in Northumberland, (County) to just south of the River Tees Yorkshire (County). with a good showing around the River Wear (County Durham). For the first hundred years of civil registration in England/Wales 1837-1937 the name dominates in these three areas.

Harry Garth WANLESS appears on the NSW Electoral Roll to 1980
Wife Dulcie Olga is with him.
He lived in the suburbs of Sydney with various occupation including toolmaker and milkbar proprietor.
I am happy to type up the listings if they are of interest to you.
From 1963, Dulcie Olga is not at the address which agrees with the divorce finding.

Printer What makes you think 1905 is the year of birth for Harold?
If the age at death of Nellie Gertrude is correct -68 in 1947, she may have been able to have him in 1923. She must have been a very young bride.
However ;D
By the way What do you know about Nellie and Thomas' daughter Beryl?

Here is a birth with right parents names, close year ,but wrong surname. :-\
Bit doubtful if you say the birth name was WILSON

I do not think your information regarding the birth date of 1905 is correct. The death notice is specific on birthdate of June 1923.
I do not see Harold or the correct Harry WANLESS registered to vote until 1949. This would tie in with his coming of age in the 1940's
I also have some doubts about Nellie Gertrude being the mother of Harold after a gap in births of 17 or so years. I have searched births to 1918

Yes, it does make it clear Harold was born 1923.
