Hi
Original Paget born abt 1803 in Shiffnal, Shropshire, England ( According to census )
Rebecca Skelton born abt 1804 Wellington Shropshire, England ( According to census )
I have come across a marriage on the 25 Aug 1827 Madeley,Shropshire,England between
Ancestry says the 19th Aug 1827 ...could be Banns ????
Rebecca Skelton and Original Paget ..this is on Family search ( IGI ) the couple appear on the
1841 together living Dawley Magna, Shropshire, England
1851 together Living Great Dawley Shropshire, England
then
so Rebecca Paget dies between 1851 and 1861 ???????
1861 Original Paget is a widower Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England
1871 Original Paget is a widower Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England ( Visitor with married daughter Sarah Duffield nee Paget)
NOTE on every census Original ( Name ) ????? spelt differently
1841 Oreginold Pagut
1851 Original Paget
1861 Ouginal Paget
1871 Crisinal Pagett
So to my question and request ..
1. Please has anyone got access to the ORIGINAL parish records ( NOT a transcript ?) ( I know the transcript is on the IGI)
2. I'm keen to know the Correct spelling of the name Original?
3. Any death for both Rebecca Paget between 1851 and 1861 ( Now Found thanks to Groom ) and Original Paget after 1871 would be great
4. Any parents to either would be a great bonus
Frankly I'm at a brick wall with them both.
Any help VERY much appreciated.
Kind Regards Judi
Note ...........I have the children to this couple Thank you

It's in parish records for Eyton, and is from original.
-
Priscilla Pagett birth in Priorslee records, Shifnal:
born 23rd March 1810, christened 8th April. Parents Henry and Elizabeth Pagett
-
There is a baptism for a Henry Paget, 9th July 1815 at Chapel of Priorslee, Shifnal to a Henry and Elizabeth Paget, gives Henry's occupation as a forgeman.
-
Possibly Henry Paget snr on 1851 census in Great Dawley:
Born 1779 Staffs. Occupation: Shingler.
Wife: Elizabeth
Reference: HO107
Pce No. 1988 Folio: 143 Pg: 29
-
this is fantastic
Looks like also an Ann Paget born 1800 baptised 7 Dec 1800 Shifnal according to Family search and a
Mary Paget birth 17 October 1812 christening 15 November 1812 Priors Lee Shifnal
-
Possible same Henry at Dawley Magna in 1841 census
Jackie
-
Mary Paget birth 17 October 1812 christening 15 November 1812 Priors Lee Shifnal
marriage

Marriage Henry Paget (jnr) + Margaret Brown 20 Dec 1835 Eyton Shropshire
Jackie
-
Possible marriage for Rebecca's parents Isaac and Sarah on Familysearch, its been mistranscribed or the writing was really bad :-\
Isaac Scelton
Sarah Galeea
26 Dec 1788, Dawley Magna, Shrops
-
Isaac's death:
Isaac Skelton of Horsehay, age 63. Buried at Dawley 30th August 1821.
-
If the marriage is correct 26 Dec 1788 ...looks like were missing some earlier children
this is what we have so far
Hannah Skelton
1797 –
Isaac Skelton
1797 –
James Skelton
1800 –
Rebecca Skelton
1803 – 1853
Ann Skelton
1806 –
-
That death is a great help thanks :D
-
This could well be a baptism for Isaac too
Isaac Skelton
Baptism 14 Sep 1760
Dawley Magna,Shropshire,England
Father Thomas Skelton
-
Two more children for Isaac and Sarah:
Elizabeth baptised 24th April 1791, Wellington All Saints
Mary baptised 6th September 1789 Wellington All Saints
There's a John baptised 31st March 1793 to an Isaac but the mother is Mary :-\
All are transcribed as Shelton but looking at the original record it does say Skelton.
-
Thats great SG
That makes me much happier with the marriage of 1788 for Isaac and Sarah :D
You have all been fantastic on this search the Tree today has gained so many new contacts /Records / names and Generations
Many Many Thanks for all the hard work and effort.
Every piece of information has proved another family line and indeed proved many online tree's to be WRONG ...... ( Not that I ever use them anyway) ... amazing what good research can throw up .
Kind Regards Judi
If anything else comes up please keep posting ;)

"

There is also a Marriage which looks a great poss for a Thomas Skelton to a Tomason Catholidge on the 26 Dec 1852 Madley Shropshire.
Wondering please if the original image is available ? to see if the mothers names can be looked at to confirm any details .
Any help appreciated
Judi
-
Jacob's and Samuel's baptisms give mother's name as Timothy, father Thomas.
The marriage in 1752, the writing looks like, Thomas Skelton and Tomason Catholidge. The writing on the previous page is so much easier to read ::)
-
Hi sfg
Many thanks for taking the trouble to look at it for me, appreciated
Judi
-
Ann's baptism says mother is Timothy too. Maybe need to see what her death cert may say :-\
-
Haven't managed to find a death for 'Timothy' yet, but will keep looking :)
-
Have found a baptism for a Thomason Cartlidge on 6th November 1737, Burslem, St John. Parents are Stephen and Thomason Cartlidge.
-
Their looks to be at least 3 children to that couple Stephen and Thomason
Thomasin Catholidge/Cartlidge
1737 –
Stephen Cartlidge.
1739 –
Mary Cartlidge.
1740 –
AND interesting on free REG
Church..... St Peter Ad Vincula, Stoke-Upon-Trent. Staffordshire
Marriage on the 29 May 1731
Groom Stephen CARTLITCH
of the Parish of Stoke-Upon-Trent
marriage to
Bride Timison CARTLTICH
Bride also called Cartltich.....................?????
Bride of the parish of Stoke-Upon-Trent
-
Just looked at another Free Reg entry for the same parish in the timeframe and the same thing
in 1706 Church St Peter Ad Vincula ( same as above)
Stephen CARTLITCH
married
Marg'ta CARTLITCH
So it looks to me like the wife's maiden name was not recorded and just listed in her new married name.
-
Death
Thomasin CARTLIDGE ( no age given ) 8 Nov 1737 St John the Baptist
That may well cancel out the child to Stephen and Thomason
:( Death 2 days after baptism
-
