Title: Grey Dunn & Co Biscuit Factory
Post by: KarenCassidy on Wednesday 17 September 14 11:21 BST (UK)
Just wondering if anyone knows if the personnel records still exist and if so where they are? My great grandmother may have worked there some time between 1919-1930

Gray rather than Grey. The company was taken over by Rowntree who, in turn, were taken over by Nestle. But thanks goodness they still make Gray Dunn's Blue Riband.

A starting point might be here:

Gray, Dunn & co became part of the Rowntree Group in 1924.  It may be worthwhile checking out the Rowntree Archives held by the Borthwick Institute for Archives at the University of York.  (email: borthwick-institute@york.ac.uk)
