Title: Looking for Hazelden or Heselden in the Burwash area
Post by: Jaguare on Wednesday 17 September 14 14:34 BST (UK)
Hi, wondering if anyone can help me.  I am trying to trace Ellen Hazelden b.1850 in the Burwash area.  I haven't been able to find her until her marriage on 29/10/1870 when she married William Edward Bateup (also listed at times as Baitup or Batcup).  The marriage took place at Brenchley, Kent.
Many thanks,
Julie

Down-under and Keyboard86 you have just made my day! I am internally whooping with delight, but refraining myself out of respect for the neighbours, thank you both so much  ;D

Hi, I notice you mention that you look for Bateup references.  I have marriage certificate for my grandfather Jesse Baldock and daisy Jane hickmott in 1904 one witness was hephzibah bateup
