Hi All
Not sure where to put my question so chose England in general.
My husbands Great Great Grandfather was born in Geelong Vic. Aus. in 1863.
Listed on his birth record are 4 sisters who were deceased.
I would like to find out when and where they were born and died.
Their names were:
Emily Eliza Jones
Louisa Emily Jones
Jane Louisa Jones
Augusta Louisa Jones
Parents were Charles Jones, born Plymouth and Eliza Ann Willmott born Retford.
They married at Old Lambeth Church in 1845
The family immigrated from Devon to Geelong on the Sea King in 1855
Ages in 1855 were Charles 32, Eliza 25, Jane 7,Louisa 1.
Emily and Augusta were not in the passenger list.
Any information regarding the 4 girls would be appreciated.
Regards,

Hi all, I'm new here - before I post a new question I thought I would ask here first if anyone has found any more information. My great grandmother is Eliza Willmott Jones, and my great great grandparents are Charles Jones and Eliza Ann Willmott. I have all the dates and names of their children, details of when and how they arrived in Geelong, Australia, but no personal details.
What did Charles do once they arrived in Geelong? Why did Eliza die at the young age of 42 (and had so many children die in infancy). What happened to the young children left once Eliza died - did the eldest children look after them?
Does anyone know the date of death of Charles Jones? It appears to have been in Deniliquin, NSW, but cannot find any records.
None of my family remember my grandmother (Nellie Coburn Willmott Wheeler) ever talking about her mother (Eliza Willmott Jones) - I am trying to find out the story of their lives.
Thanks, Wendy

Welcome to Rootschat, Wendy.
Here is a link to you post on the Australia forum: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=688403.new#new
Why is it you think Charles died in NSW?
The 1900 marriage announcement for Eliza and Arthur:

I see the marriage reg was some years earlier:
1896 3230 JONES Eliza Willmott to WHEELER Arth Coburn
NSW death: 4615/1907 JONES Charles 85 YRS DENILIQUIN DENILIQUIN
