Title: ALFRED TERTIUS WISDOM married VIOLA RAY "RAE" McCOY in New York in 1926

Hello there,
  ALFRED TERTIUS WISDOM, born 23rd January 1885 in Woodchurch, Kent travelled to Hawaii, California, Oregon, Illinois and other states before marrying Viola Ray "Rae" McCoy, born 1902 in Wyoming, in New York in 1926.

  There's a 1940 record I found from a google search (but not on Ancestry) for Alfred & Rae living in District 23, New York. It seems that Alfred died in 1943, but we can find no further information about Viola Ray "Rae" Wisdom after 1940. What became of her? Did she marry again?

  Another mystery surrounds Alfred's mother, Caroline "Carrie" Wisdom née Harrison who married William Ebenezer Wisdom in Kent in 1881. William, Carrie and three children arrived in the U.S. in 1992, but Carrie seems to have disappeared and William remarried in Chicago in November 1995 (to Clara Johnson Marsh). When and where did Caroline "Carrie" Wisdom die?

Alfred's WWII draft registration card mentions a Miss Mabel Wisdom in Chicago as the person who would always know his address.  https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-266-11074-32182-93?cc=1861144  A bit surprising that he didn't list his wife.

Looks like Mabel or Fanny Mabel Wisdom was a sister born 5 February 1889 England and died 5 May 1988 Chicago Cook Illinois.

Thanks for the responses.
It is surprising that Viola Ray wasn't the "next of kin."
I managed to find info about Mabel, Alfred's sister, but nothing about Viola Ray.

There were a few incidentally mentions of Rae Wisdom in 1941 on the site below but didn't come across anything later.
