My late mother attended this school in the 1950s/60s, and I would love to hear from anyone who knew her. Her name was Georgina McLeod Mckean (b.1947), and I presume she must have started in about 1958, and left in 1963.
If there are any photos, it would be lovely to see them. However, you wouldn't be able to post them on this thread if there are any living people in them - you would have to send me a personal message.
Here's hoping!

Hi Did your mother live in Dumbarton ? if so the best thing would be to place a message in one of the local papers being The Reporter or the Lennox Herald ...You could also contact the Helensburgh Advertiser as that would have been the nearest catholic school for Helensburgh ...You will find these papers on google ..

Thanks for your reply Rosie. My mum lived at Arden (near Luss).

Still worth a try in the local paper for these area's :)

Hi All
I’m resurrecting this topic as I can’t seem to find morethanamemory.org.uk anymore. Does anyone know if it still exists, or is there something similar which might help me find out about my mum’s schooldays in the 50s & 60s?
I’m also attaching a photo of my mum which I came across after she died. I’m guessing that she’s about 15, and I don’t know who the guy is, or how old he could be. If you have any suggestions for the guy’s name, please PM me, as he may still be alive.
Thanks.
Terri

Hi TerriG
Did you try contacting the newspapers I suggested ? There is also a Helensburgh Memories page on Facebook you could maybe attach the picture and see if anyone recognises your mum ..There are several members about the same age who would have attended the same school as your mum
If you have any problems trying to access the page send me a PM

Thank you Rosie. I don't do Facebook, so I shall pass that task onto my sister, and see what happens. I'll bear in mind the newspapers you suggested in case I get nowhere with Facebook.
