Hello I have a Henry Larne in Newfoundland in 1759. It might be Larme can anyone help?

When you say you "have" him in 1759, is that a birth, marriage or death?
And whu is this posted under Alderney, Guernsey, Jersey, Sark?
Looking at the 1851 census for England & Wales, ther is just one instance of Larme surname, and 19 instances of Larne.
The Larnes can be found in Norfolk (8}, Middlesex (3), Devon (3), Pembrokeshire (2) and Cardiganshire and Dorset.

The area in Newfoundland where my ancestor's are from has a strong Jersey connection. In the 1804 fishing rooms census Henry recorded his land under the Act of Wm. 111 His claim was made in 1759. We don't know if he was married when he came here or if he married after his arrival. While looking through the postings on this site I saw the name Larme and wondered if there was any connection. We have found that the census recorders did not always know how to spell the names and recorded what they heard. In the 1817 census the name was spelled Lare. Thanks for your interest and help.
