Not found him after 1881 yet but I wonder why he and his mother are clearly down as surname Adams in 1871  ???

Edward seems to be hiding - no sign of him.  A brother Erwin (was Ewin on the record before someone submitted correction)  is listed in a New York Almhouse -  10 June 1896 -sickness and d.......  ??? -  his wife Julia and 2 daughters are in England. He was a Major in the English Army and drew some pension. Had been in USA for 4 years.
No sign of Edward on passenger lists so far - unless mis-transcribed.  :'(

1891

31/32 St Andrews Street Plymouth
Household with lots of boarders
including -
Edward E Wadge 40 unm boarder Locksmith bn Exeter

The middle initial is not very clear.

A possibility for your Edward P Wadge bn 1850 maybe? what was his occupation in 1881?

(Just have to add - just looked at the family in 1851 - what an amazing selection of names for the children! Edwin H, Emma H, Erwin H, Edmund A, and Edward P !)

Edwin Harvey Wadge (presumably oldest brother) dies in 1909. But he seems to spend his life in and out of prison as there are several Criminal Records for him.

Brother Edmund Adam Wadge dies in 1852

Im still puzzling as to why they should use the name Adams in 1871?

It is not her maiden name , that appears to be Harvey (as in Edwins middle name)-
