I had family that were working in flax mills in the mid 1800's in Co. Mayo. when the factories were closed in the 1847-1850 time period, a lot of workers emigrated to Leeds, England. Would anyone know where in Co. Mayo these workers would have come from. Trying to narrow down my research to these towns.
Any help or suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.
