Post by: Tomscot on Wednesday 22 October 14 15:36 BST (UK)
Hi, I am having a bit of bother tracing the wife of William Lines b about 1808 in Eydon he was Shepherd. The two names that keep cropping up are Ann Toy b about 1801 in Farnborough and a Ann Warwick. I no other in formation than the above, any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.                                                       Regards

Did he have any children after 1837?
If so, their birth cert will confirm mothers maiden name, and make sure you followthe right Ann.

The Northamptonshire Marriages Index shows both marriages ...

William Lines = Ann Warwick botp 1815 Apr 30 Long Buckby

William Lines of Long Lawford of the parish of Newbold, Warwickshire = Ann Toy otp 1825 Oct 17 Chipping Warden

If William was born about 1808, I fear the first of these may be too early   ;)

Hi, Thank you for the information ref the above. I have traced my William's birth as abt 1802 in Eydon, he married Ann Toy born 18/02/ 1801 in Farnborough Warwickshire on the 17/10/1825 in Chipping Warden. I did not realise that there were so many people with the name Lines in Northamptonshire. Thank you lizb and sugarbaker for your help, it is very much appreciated.
