I hope someone can help. I have been looking for a family in the 1881 Canada census. I have this particular family in a,ll of the other census, 1851 (spelled Cary), 61 (spelled Carrey), 71 (spelled Carny), from then on its spelled Carey in 91, 1901, and 1921.
Can someone please help me in finding them in the 1881. I've tried just about every spelling I can think of for the surname with the exception of starting with K.
The family of PHILIP CAREY, wife Sarah, and children Annie (b 1865) , George W (b 1868), Lily Susan (b 1869), Louise Margaret (b 1872), (sometimes went by Lou or Lucy), James Philip (b 1878), & William (b 1880).

Well...long shot but there is a Phillip Carter b 1819 England with his wife Sarah b 1833 England. The children are problematic, though...there's a Victoria b 1862 Ontario and a Mary b 1864 Ontario and also a Samuel Goodale in the household.
However, I can't for the life of me see them on the census image. It's almost completely washed out. There is a Carter on the page but he's clearly Thomas. I think it's the wrong image.
The age difference between husband and wife still makes it attractive, in a manner of speaking :P

Sorry, came up dry. Even tried the 1880 US, nothing.
I have a few that are missing in the 1881 census too.
