From www.freereg.org, might this be a possible for William?

Bamburgh St Aidan William Pratt of Warneden and Jane Patterson 23 Mar 1709/10 ( Notes: Double entered * beside John and * William added below. Abode may be bride, groom or both)

It seems there is the same entry for the bride with one record showing groom William, the other groom as John! On Mary's baptism in Bamburgh in 1723 it shows father's abode as Warenton?

It's actually Warenton but I wouldn't worry about the variation in spelling.  The Northumbrian accent has a lot to do with it!  Warenton is in the neighbouring parish of Lucker so it may be worth casting your net to include Lucker in your searches.

Hi,
I'm new to this site & wonder if anyone might have a record of William Gregson Pratt, b. 9 March 1822 in Berwick.  He's my 2nd great grandfather.  I'm also trying to find out about his father, John.
Many thanks!

Hi again:
I'm looking for the ancestors of John Pratt, husband of Amelia Margaret Forster & father of William Gregson Pratt.  Believe he was born in 1799 in Hall, Northumberland.  Interested to know if he's the son of John Pratt of Bell's Hill & Adderstone Hall, and/or to find his lineage as far back as is possible.
My thanks in advance for ANY help!
Chris

Google Books has a Burial of a DAVID Pratt at Ventor (I think Isle of Wight)
3rd Son of JOHN/ELIZABETH Pratt
John Pratt Esq of Bells Hill, Northumberland

If your John was his Son then  he would be likely mentioned in John's Will.

But given info below seems unlikely?

DAVID was Bapt 10 Nov 1815 Bamburgh to John/Elizabeth Pratt. John a Esquire, abode Bells Hill
(FreeREG)
1st Son appears to be WILLIAM 08 Jul 1808
Info on record has;
1st child of John PRATT native of Warnton by his wife Elizabeth, late OWEN native of St Clement
Danes in Diocese of London

So lots of John Pratts around ::)

Hi Trish,
Thanks so much for this.  Hmmm...not a lot of original naming going on in Berwick! :)
I've found wills for both John's but, sadly, John of Bell's Hill only mentions his wife, none of his children, which was mentioned as being 'unusual' for that time.
In any event, thanks so much for your help...again!
Chris

Middleton is about a mile out of Belford on the A1 going north to Berwick
Bellshill as it is called now is a mile from Belford to the South
You are right about Warenton its only a farm to the west off the A1 near to Adderstone

Can I ask have you found where the Gregson in your family comes from as I am at a brick wall with mine from the Berwick area
