Cornwall opc has William John Matthews, residence Paul , marrying Ann Philp Berryman,residence Penzance, on the 2nd March 1870 and William's father is John Matthews. I am hoping that he is the son of John and Betsy Beadon Matthews.
On freecen in 1871 William aged 21 and Ann aged 28 are living at Piece: RG10/2339 Place: Penzance Cornwall Enumeration District: 8 address is Trevithal. Matthews is spelt Mathews in that census.
I can't find them after 1871 and I wonder if they emigrated.

Sinnce my post I found three children for the couple. Annie Maria baptised 1870, Mary Philp Bapt 1872 and William John bapt 1873. Sadly Annie Maria dies aged 3 months.

I have just found them in 1911 census living Zennor.

That's St Buryan. The spellings of the place names are all over the place.
The family moved around as well.
