Hello all! This is my first post here. My great-grandparents were Cornelius and Mary (nee Halpin) Cunningham. Cornelius was born on 14 January 1877 in Annagh, Galbally. His parents were Patrick and Johanna (Daly) Cunningham. Mary Halpin was born in 1879 in County Limerick. They emigrated and arrived in the United States on 11 June 1908 with their three children Patrick, Michael and Josephine and settled in Park Slope Brooklyn. I heard that Cornelius had siblings whose names were James, Martin, Mary, Hanorah(Nora), Patrick and Catherine. Are their any descendants of theirs that are still in Ireland?
Thanks,
Brian

It's always hard to track girls of a couple given that if they married we'd have no idea of how they might show on the 1901 Census.
So, looking for James but I don't see any good matches.
Martin, I have just found one possibility ~
This is the chap in 1911
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Limerick/Riversdale/Ardnamoher/635103/
The same chap was with his wife and first son on the 1901 Census in London, England.
So, Ardnamoher is in Galbally.
Also, the naming pattern for his children looks promising.

I can't see a good marriage match for Martin in Ireland BUT he may have married in England.
I can only see this one possibility in London, England.
It's the same parish as the birth of their first son Patrick.
It's a bit tight but there is a Bridget Hanrahan on the same page !
Name: Martin Cunningham
Year: 1901
Quarter: Jan-Feb-Mar
District: St Olave Southwark
County: London

The family of Cunninghams were obviously from Ardnamoher.
Patrick's marriage says that his father was called James.
The GV that I posted earlier has a James Cunningham in Ardnamoher.
John Cunningham also called his first son James so it looks promising the YES John was Patrick's brother !

HUM
another person on this forum was researching John Cunningham and has him with a different father.
That aside for now, might be worth trying to contact them !

In case you haven't seen the 2nd page of the passenger list, it says they were going to join Cornelius' sister Nora Creed. There is a family tree that says Hanorah/Nora married William Creed & died 17 Mar 1937 in Brooklyn. The tree also says Cornelius' sister Catherine married Timothy Cleary 19 May 1910 in Brooklyn.
