Title: A marriage
Post by: aidansrest on Thursday 06 November 14 09:12 GMT (UK)
Hi

Can anybody find a marriage between a

Louis and a Berkery in London (perhaps Wandsworth) around 1924?

Their only child, son, Peter Charles Louis was born in Wandsworth during the March quarter of 1924.

Thank you

Sue

Not seeing a marriage

Maybe they werent married, or maybe it was a second marriage for his mum,so she was nee Berkery, but not married to Mr Louis with that name.

I think you may have to get his birth cert to find out more about his parents, like their Christian names, to get something to work on.

It'll be initials for the other names. It is there.

There's a Thomas Lees marrying a Bridget Berkery in Nenagh, Ireland in 1905 on FindMyPast

It's in the Irish Marriages 1845 - 1958 record set under the World subscription so you should be able to look at it this weekend for nowt

There seem to a number of Berkery marriages in Thurles, Ireland

19 years ( and a change of country and name) is a long time to wait for a first child.
Not impossible, I know.

I meant to precede it with

"It might a long shot but..."  :)

There might be other children born in Ireland though
