George Godwin was b1865 in Sydney to Parents George and Harriet E. George 1865 may have been the only son or the last of their children after immigration as their marriage is not on the indexes nor are any other births.
Aha..there are two children deaths recorded for this couple Henry H 1929 at Burwood and Elizabeth Mary in 1945 at Ryde
Their mothers full name was Harriet Emma Godwin.

Hi a m
George GODWIN- who married Eliza STEPHENSON- was born in 1866 in NSW.
His father was George Francis GODWIN and mother Mary Ann COLLIER (COLLYER)
His father married twice and died in 1897
This well-constructed public tree has some certificates for viewing including the 1866 birth of George and will be of interest to you.

You say in your first post (on Sussex Board) that you have traced your GODWIN family back to Sussex with George Francis. Could you supply any further information (Y of B) and how do you know he came from Sussex.
Do you have further information on your family that you have not yet posted?

It will be good when a m godwin checks back online again with us :)
Perhaps we can then get true clarification of the information already held and the directions hoped for ;)

I think this is the obit another sibling - son of George & Mary Ann - named Edward James.
He died in 1932 and was born in 1872 in 'Stanifer' (assume Stannifer NSW). He is buried at Pallamallawa Cemetery (near Moree).

I suspect the birth reg is the one shown as Jane Edward, 1872, Patricks Plain.
