Can't find any evidence of Isaac Kempton born 1890 in Sheffield (baptised 1898 Sheffield) anywhere post 1901 census. There is another Isaac H Kempton knocking around who dies in Oldham in 1934 aged 55 so born in 1879. This Isaac tallies with what appears to be an unregistered birth of an Isaac Kempton, who is on the 1881 census aged 2, in Wolverhampton, Staffs. There are no other candidates for an Isaac Kempton on either the freebmd or FindMyPast websites in the whole of the country born 1879 or after. Can't find a death, a marriage, a census entry or anything. I very rarely strike a brickwall I cannot break but this whole Kempton family has me running all around the houses (I'm loving it really!). Am I missing something obvious with Isaac here?

Brilliant, many thanks. That's definitely his mother and I was having problems with her as well. It's definitely a new avenue to investigate. Have to try and find my way around Canadian records then. Hopefully we've broken the back of this one.

There's an Isaac Kempton, who died in 1949, buried in Saskatoon. His widow Estella/Estelle died 20 years later in British Columbia, but is buried there also.

Slight spanner in the works is an Isaac Kempton born 1891 and from Ireland who emigrated to Canada before the first world war. Just found him in the Canadian WW1 service records. He was also living in Saskatchewan before the war and he dies in Saskatchewan as well.
