Title: Ferbane Egans and Fitzpatricks
Post by: orlamulligan on Friday 19 December 14 15:49 GMT (UK)
Owen Egan from Ferbane (possibly Endrim) and MaryAnn Fitzpatrick from Ferbane (possibly Fadden) married in 1885 aprox and travelled to an uncle in Illinois. Had family in Illinois and gathered up enough money to bring family back to Ireland and purchase a farm in Ballyoran Kilcormac. They are in Ballyoran in 1901 and 1911(owen & maryann with their family eliza, peter, edward, michael, laurence, mary, owen, joseph & annie)
Anyone know if Owen (b1850) and MaryAnn (b1870)  are buried in Kilcormac / Mountbolus / Ferbane

You may have already seen this, but Owen Egan of Curradown (father, Peter Egan) married Mary A. Fitzpatrick of Fadden (father, John Fitzpatrick) on 25 Apr 1881 in Ferbane  according to an entry on RootsIreland.ie.  I have an Egan family from this area, perhaps Endrim, but no Owen or Peter in what I've found so far.
