Hi Alan

Patricia Walker married a John MacPherson Orr in Moffat in 1919. Haven't looked at the image, just from the search index and 1 unit...

Alan, can't easily see a death for Patricia Walker/Orr in Scotland unfortunately.

Haven't viewed the marriage entry in 1919, so not sure on her personal details. Maybe something else will come up form general searches  :)

Just searching for a Pat*a Walker in 1901, any age or place brings up this entry:

Jeanie Walker 45 b. Chile
William Walker 17 b. Appr Elect Engineer b. Chile
Patricia Walker 5 b. Greenock, Renfrew
Address: 20 Kelvingrove St., Kelvin, Glasgow

Without checking marriage or death, not sure if this above is relevant for you.

Needs to be confirmed against her MC, if you are confident that the marriage to John Orr Snr is hers...

Had a look on Ancestry and on their WW1 Service Medals & Award Rolls there is a Patricia Walker listed.
She is shown as an orderly who served with the French Red Cross between Aug 1916 & April 1917.
She was awarded the Victory Medal & the British War Medal. No personal details listed.
Could it be your Patricia.
Rgds  Matt.

Thank you again for all the help. I found that her father was Robert Alexander Walker and mother Jane. Born 1895. She did live at Woodland Moffat. And had a son John. What i would love to know is where she was born and when she died. Getting closer, and really a big thanks to all.  In my mind i think there is something on a plaque in Moffat duck pond about and Orr and maybe a Walker, could be way of base tho.

Alan, with Patricia's mother showing from your last details as Jane, that 1901 entry from earlier could well fit:

Just searching for a Pat*a Walker in 1901, any age or place brings up this entry:

Jeanie Walker 45 b. Chile
William Walker 17 b. Appr Elect Engineer b. Chile
Patricia Walker 5 b. Greenock, Renfrew

This is the only Patricia Walker in that birth range showing that I can see on the transcript for 1901. Likely the marriage cert from 1919 will be the big revealer for her...

Monica  :)

PS: Couldn't easily see anything for Patricia's birth on www.inverclyde.gov.uk/education-and-learning/libraries/archives-family-history-and-local-heritage/family-history/intimations

Found a tree now online for Robert Alexander Walker and Jane Wylie.

Robert showing as born on 9 Sep 1848 in Regent Square Scotch Church, St Pancras, London.  Robert on these trees is down as being in the Royal Navy. Married Jane Wylie in Valparaiso Chile (burnt my feet on the beach there  :P) Robert died 1912 Chile?

Patricia's birth is given as being on 5 Jun 1895 Scotland. Not more specific. All her siblings (showing as last born) born in Chile. William who shows on that 1901 census entry shows on the list of children/siblings.

For Jane, this is the 1871 entry given for her:

John Kerr 58 Thread Servant Clerk b. Beith, Ayrshire
Jane Kerr 57 b. Beith, Ayrshire
Jane Kerr 18
John Kerr 15
Jane Wylie 15 niece b. Chile
John Wylie 13 nephew b. Chile
William Wylie 10  nephew b. Chile
Address: 34 Glen Street, Paisley Middle Church

Alan, came across this post on http://boards.ancestry.co.uk/thread.aspx?mv=flat&m=163&p=localities.southam.chile.metropolitana

Hi Eileen,

I am Patricia Walker's great-granddaughter. My grandfather (her son) has created an extensive family history and has John, William, Jaunita, and Patricia's descendants for three generations.

Please let me know if you are still interested.

Thanks!

Sara

The problem on that old a/try post is that, if you read through, the ggranddaughter of Patricia never posted back after that original comment above  :-\
